Mission Statement

The world is full of tall mountains, rock faces, stone boulders, and ice cliffs; the vertical terrain. The outdoor world provides a clean canvas upon which individuals are free to paint their passions concerning the art of climbing. Passions exist in the forms of courage, laughter, fear, exhaustion, and glory. The climbers experiences these sensations though interaction between the rock, body, and spirit. During any climbing experience, the climber has one goal in mind; emotional experience by means of pure action. Indy's Trips, L.L.C. strives to expose this "emotional experience" by showing climbers what they are capable of achieving. In climbing, it is very easy to find your physical limitations. If climbers tackle problems in small increments, it is possible to expand their physical limitations. Climbers should establish realistic goals and then try to reach those goals through personal or emotional growth. Once a climber has experienced this "growth," new goals should be established. Once those goals have been obtained, another, new goal is established. After a period of time, the climber realizes that through a progression of small increments (setting goals within realistic reach) there is no obstacle that can not be overcome. If that same person applies this strategy to their personal life, the individual realizes that they can accomplish any goal! This is the mission of Indy's Trips. We strive to take climbers to places where they did not think they could go; reach a goal that was thought unobtainable. "Experience" is a metaphor. "Realization" is the goal!

What This Web Site Is About

Indy's Trips, L.L.C., is a professional rock climbing & mountaineering guiding service. Indy's Trips instructs students in a professional setting, preparing them for outdoor climbing trips that are designed to suit the needs and abilities of the individual students. This web page was designed to provide useful information to fellow climbers. Throughout this web site, a heavy dose of humor is employed to get the point across; we can only hope that climbers can have fun and not take themselves or climbing too seriously. The instructional pages are tools that current students use to study their class lesions. The pages in the instruction section are the beginnings of Indy's book concerning climbing instruction. This book will contain "all the stuff that the other guys forgot to put in their books." Stay tuned. Unless there are anymore question, have fun with the page. Thanks in advance.
